Be part of our niche team of professionals changing the way that listed companies and financial institutions handle their legal operations and contracting.
We’re a rapidly expanding legal consulting and software business with a client base of over 40 listed companies and a broad range of innovative legal solutions in development. Leave timekeeping / fee targets behind and work as part of a relaxed, small team of top lawyers and advocates in our award-winning business.
If you’re a parent wanting to have time with your kids, whilst still having a work life, this may be the position for you. You’ll only be working 4 hours a day (in the morning) and we’ll make sure you have sufficient annual leave to enjoy as much of the school holidays with your kids as is possible.
Ideally, we’re looking for an attorney with post-articles experience, or otherwise a lawyer with intelligence and exceptional communication skills who has prior work experience that evidences their ability to meet the below criteria. You’ll also need to be excited about moving out of traditional legal practice to engage with technology; to automate contracting and compliance processes; and to build long-term legal solutions for corporate clients.
The role includes in-depth training on our proprietary software that will allow you to build decision-tree questionnaires and dynamic contracts, as well as integrating legal compliance and reporting services for our blue-chip clients. To be considered for the position, you’ll need the following:
Good academic results and prior, full-time work experience in the legal field;
Excellent writing skills and professionalism;
A methodical approach to tasks with real attention to detail;
Problem-solving skills that will allow you to adopt a logical, step-by-step process to working with software systems and building solutions;
The focus and intelligence to engage in detailed, in-depth analysis of legal contracts in order to build step-by-step processes that automate legal drafting, compliance and business intelligence;
A willingness to adapt and grow into a broad range of roles. This could include the review of corporate precedents, legal research and drafting, as well as building ongoing client relationships.
