TechStream Group is a fast growing, dynamic Global recruitment business and we have an exciting opportunity within our Compliance Department for a Global Legal and Compliance Manager.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that global business operations comply with legal regulations as well as internal policies and procedures. TechStream Group has offices in Germany, South Africa, United Kingdom, USA, Spain and Singapore. This function is global and supports all of these regions.
Duties & Responsibilities
Manage, train and guide the Compliance Team, which includes Procurement, Contractor Management and Legal functions.
Oversee the Contractor management team which currently consists of 4 team members. At the core of the Compliance team’s function is onboarding, supporting and building relationships with global contractors. This includes:
Compliant tax Setup in country of work;
Contract drafting & finalisation;
Ongoing Support and contact;
Weekly Audit on documentation.
Weekly and Monthly payroll cross check for contractor payroll
Support Global Operations teams with Tender preparation and submissions;
New Client/Supplier onboarding;
Ensure Client Terms are reviewed and finalised by Legal, signed and uploaded on CRM;
Client & Supplier Credit risk assessment;
Client requirement implementation;
GDPR/ Data protection Compliance.
Client & Supplier Contract drafting, amendment and review;
Communicate with Client Onboarding team to ensure that all legal and contractual obligations are met in the contract implementation;
Collections – Letter of Demand and referral to collection agency / Litigation;
Review of all internal legal templates;
Review and management of Global Leases;
Develop and implement a streamlined and systems driven process flow for Compliance/legal;
Manage Global Insurance Renewals;
Monitor regulatory changes and adjust internal processes to accommodate and ensure compliance.
Working alongside Operations and Human Resource teams to ensure that all required policies are developed and implemented.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Excellent leadership skills and the ability to relate to and manage stakeholders on all levels.
Post Graduate qualification in Operations, Law, Business Administration or relevant field.
A minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Compliance Officer or similar position.
knowledge of global Recruitment industry processes and regulations would be beneficial.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
An analytical mindset with excellent organizational skills.
