Position reports into the Group CEO.
With decades of specialist legal recruitment expertise, Alas has been assigned and exclusively retained to expertly manage the appointment of this Executive position.
A key position responsible for providing and delivering comprehensive, dedicated and world-class legal services, commercially sound and strategic leadership support to the Group across its business footprint in Sub-Saharan Africa.
Required experience, including but not limited to:
High level knowledge of corporate and legal operating environments, and a commercially and business minded person operating at a senior level in a business/commercial environment.
Strong working knowledge of regulatory environments applicable to retail operations, including food law, consumer protection laws, competition and anti-trust law and data protection and privacy laws.
Good board experience and/or exposure to dealing at board level.
Experience working in a multi-national environment an added advantage.
Proven experience building and managing large teams with a demonstrable track record of effective performance management.
